HELP is the largest of all volunteer organizations in Beaufort County providing direct service. HELP maintains a facility that is open five mornings a week with over 60 volunteers giving their time and effort to carry out HELP's programs. HELP volunteers are also available on week-ends and evenings for emergency cases.

When someone comes to HELP's door, usually by referral from an established agency or church, the need is verified and assistance provided to the best of HELP's ability. In many cases, coordination with several other private and government organizations is required to meet the need. HELP never duplicates other agency efforts; we all work together toward one common goal - to help those who have an immediate crisis. All of HELP's services are without charge.
